Our Work

Power Apps transforming professional development in the Education sector

EDUCATION

Our customer is a key organisation in the education sector, comprising over 6,000 staff caring for over 45,000 students in over 100 schools.

Professional development is a key focus for our customer in supporting a continuous pursuit of excellence over the course of their education leaders’ careers.

In a move to modernise their performance review system and move from a largely paper-based system, Chamonix was engaged to develop a Power App that would allow principals to do their assessment online. The leader ePortfolio was developed by Chamonix as an organisational management tool based on the seven professional practices of the organisation’s leadership standard, serving as a reference point for the Principal’s annual and tenure point appraisals which have two core purposes: leadership development & professional learning.

The platform is used by 103 School Principals and 10 School performance leaders as well as administrative staff.

The ePortfolio facilitates the three main stages in the process; draft, review and submit and includes functionality such as a goals and actions assessment, learning information (i.e., courses or qualification achieved for the current year), goals, actions, strengths, opportunities for development, reflection notes and the ability to upload documentation as proof. The assessment application is also used by school principals to add performance related information and evidence throughout the year.
